January 2023: Tax Credit & Community Economic Development Workshops

The New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority will host a series of online webinars for organizations interested in applying for the Tax Credit and/or Community Economic Development Capacity Building Programs in 2023 or learning more. A video providing a brief overview of the Tax Credit program can be viewed here.

The Tax Credit & Community Economic Development Capacity Building Program Overview webinars will be held on January 11 and January 17, 2023. Topics to be covered include an overview of the Tax Credit Program, eligible applicants, program objectives and guidelines, funding priorities, and key dates. Interested applicants only need to register for one of the program overview webinars as the same content will be covered at each event.

Those interested in applying for funding are strongly encouraged to also attend one of the Tax Credit & Community Economic Development Capacity Building Application Writing Webinars specifically focused on the application process. These webinars will be held on January 12 and January 18, 2023. Topics to be covered include a step-by-step overview of the application. Interested applicants only need to register for one of the application webinars as the same content will be covered at each event.

October 24: Recovery Housing Program Application Workshop

CDFA will be hosting a virtual application workshop for potential applicants interested in learning more about the Recovery Housing Program. These federal resources are being deployed in New Hampshire to help increase the availability of stable, temporary housing to individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder.

The workshop is encouraged for grant administrators, grantees and any projects that intend to apply for the Recovery Housing Program. Topics to be covered include an overview of the Recovery Housing Program, program priorities, eligible applicants and activities, and evaluation criteria.

The Recovery Housing Program was authorized via the federal Substance Use-Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment (SUPPORT) for Patients and Communities Act of 2018.

Applications are currently available via CDFA’s Grants Management System. The deadline for the initial round of Recovery Housing Program applications is 4:00 PM on December 19, 2022. Applications will then be accepted on a rolling basis until funding is expended.

 

November 9: CDFA Resources and Funding Your Community Project

CDFA is hosting a webinar to provide an understanding of the various financial and technical resources available to support community economic development projects across New Hampshire. If you are interested in learning how you might work with CDFA to accomplish your community economic development goals, we hope you’ll join us.

We are seeking potential applicants that may be new to working with CDFA or are in the early stages of developing an idea/project, those looking for capacity resources to advance those ideas, as well as partner organizations, to join. Attendees should include organizations interested in learning how to work with CDFA to accomplish local community economic development goals.

CDFA staff will review our funding ecosystem and the types of grant, loan and tax credit equity programs available to fund community economic development and clean energy projects throughout New Hampshire.

 

November 10: NH Community Development Block Grant Application Workshop

CDFA will be conducting a virtual workshop for organizations interested in applying for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds or learning more about the program.

NH Community Development Block Grant Application Workshop is November 10 at 1:00 PM. REGISTER HERE.

The workshop is encouraged for grant administrators, grantees and any projects that intend to apply for the following programs: Housing, Public Facilities, Economic Development, Emergency or Planning.

Topics to be covered include: an overview of the Community Development Block Grant Program, eligible applicants and activities, threshold requirements, evaluation and scoring criteria.
